How does it work?

Three zones do the work. The arch band lifts and supports the arch, the wrap strap locks the heel and ankle in place, and graduated compression reduces swelling and inflammation. You feel the support the moment it goes on.

Sizing and fit

Size by ankle circumference, not shoe size: wrap a soft tape around the narrowest part of your ankle, just above the bone.

  • S: 6.7–7.5 in (17–19 cm)
  • M: 7.5–8.3 in (19–21 cm)
  • L: 8.3–9.1 in (21–23 cm)
  • XL: 9.1–9.8 in (23–25 cm)

If your ankles swell during the day, measure in the late afternoon or evening. Between sizes, choose the larger one if your ankles swell and the smaller one if they don't.

It should feel snug and even. Tingling toes or deep red marks at the top band mean it's too tight, so swap to the next size up. Your first swap is free, and you don't send anything back.

What's in the box?

The Pair: 2 sleeves. The Daily Pack: 4 sleeves. Each sleeve fits either foot. Breathable nylon knit, open toe, flat hook-and-loop strap. Every order includes the 30-day relief routine by email.

Care and washing

Fasten the strap closed before washing so the hook-and-loop doesn't collect lint, which weakens its grip. Cool machine wash, on a gentle cycle if possible, then air dry. Don't tumble dry or iron: heat breaks down the elastic fibers that provide the compression.

If you wear them every day, rotating two pairs lets each one dry fully between wears and helps both last longer.

Measuring the ankle with a soft tape

Find your size

Compression sleeves are sized by ankle circumference, not shoe size. The right size gives even pressure around the ankle and arch. Too small can pinch, and too large slips and rolls down.

  1. Measure at the end of your day. Ankles can swell over the course of the day, so a late-afternoon measurement gives the most accurate size.
  2. Wrap the narrowest part of your ankle, just above the bone, with a soft tape. No tape? Use a strip of paper, then lay it on a ruler.
  3. Match your measurement to the chart below.
SizeAnkle (in)Ankle (cm)
S6.7–7.517–19
M7.5–8.319–21
L8.3–9.121–23

Between sizes? Choose the larger size if your ankles swell during the day, and the smaller one if they don't.

How it should feel: snug and even, like a firm hug. Tingling toes or deep red marks at the top band mean it's too tight, so swap to the next size up. Your first size swap is free.

The hidden cost of heel pain

Plantar fasciitis sends Americans to the doctor about 1 million times a year.

It's one of the most common causes of heel pain, and it hits hardest in your 40s, 50s and 60s, right when you can least afford to slow down.

  • Stabbing pain with the first steps of the day
  • Worse after long hours standing or sitting
  • On your feet most of the day: 3.6x the odds
  • $192-376 million a year spent treating it

The mechanism
The mechanism

How it keeps coming back

It's not just your shoes. It's the band under your foot.

The plantar fascia runs from your heel to your toes and holds up your arch. Long days stretch it, it tightens overnight, and your first step pulls on it again. That cycle is what keeps the pain coming back.

  • Tightens every night while you sleep
  • Pulled hard by the first step
  • New activity and hard surfaces add load
  • Tight calves and ankles make it worse

Limited ankle flexibility was the strongest risk factor in Riddle et al., Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, 2003.

The effects
The effects

What it costs you

Heel pain doesn't stay in your heel.

When every step hurts, you change how you walk. You shift your weight, shorten your stride and move less, and the rest of your day starts paying for it.

  • Limping puts strain on knees, hips and back
  • Less walking, less of what you enjoy
  • Ice, pills and insoles every night
  • It can drag on for months

What to expect

Your first 30 days with Restride

Restride works best worn daily alongside a few minutes of stretching. Every order includes the 30-day relief routine: a short video by email each day, building week by week.

  1. Get the fit right

    Day 1

    Get the fit right

Put it on sitting down with the strap loose, then wrap the strap snug across the arch. It should feel firm and even, with no tingling. If the fit is off, swap your size for free.

RoutineFit check, and how to wear it day and night

  2. Ease your first steps

    Week 1

    Ease your first steps

Put your sleeves on before you get out of bed, and stretch before you stand. Mornings and getting up after sitting are when the plantar fascia is tightest, so that's when support matters most.

RoutineCalf stretch, towel stretch, ball roll

  3. Start moving more

    Weeks 2–3

    Start moving more

Wear them on walks, errands and workouts, and build your distance gradually. Strengthening the foot and calf helps your arch carry more of the load.

RoutineTowel scrunches, heel raises, a shoe check

  4. Keep it going

    Day 30 and on

    Keep it going

Keep wearing them on active days and during long stretches of sitting. A short daily routine helps keep heel pain from coming back.

    RoutineA 5-minute maintenance routine

Try them for 60 days. If they don't help, you get a full refund.

Steady and supportive

The heel lock makes my weak ankle feel steady, and the compression keeps the end-of-day swelling down. I'm 70 and use a cane on bad days, so feeling steady matters to me.

Great for PF, strap tail a bit long

The arch strap works great for my plantar fasciitis during shifts at the hardware store. Only thing is the strap tail is a little long on my narrow foot, so I fold it back before I put my shoe on. Still five stars.

Questions

How do I pick my size?

Compression sleeves are sized by ankle circumference, not shoe size. Wrap a soft tape (or a strip of paper) around the narrowest part of your ankle, just above the bone, and match it to the chart: S 6.7–7.5 in, M 7.5–8.3 in, L 8.3–9.1 in, XL 9.1–9.8 in.

If your ankles swell during the day, measure in the late afternoon or evening, when they're at their largest. A size picked from a morning measurement can feel too tight by evening. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one if your ankles swell and the smaller one if they don't. Your first size swap is free.

What if it feels too tight or my toes tingle?

The sleeve should feel snug and even, like a firm hug around the ankle and arch. Tingling or numb toes, or deep red marks at the top band, mean it's too tight for you. Take it off and swap to the next size up. Your first swap is free and you don't need to send the first pair back.

This is most common for people whose ankles swell over the day, which is why we recommend measuring at the end of the day.

Will it fit in my shoes?

Yes, in most. It fits best in sneakers, walking shoes and everyday shoes with a little room over the top of the foot. The knit adds a thin layer and the strap lies flat, and the open toe keeps your toes free.

Close-fitting shoes like dress shoes and boots have the least room across the instep, so the sleeve can make them feel tight. If that happens, try a thinner sock over the sleeve.

Is there a left and a right?

No. Each sleeve fits either foot, and every order comes as a pair.

How do I wash it so it lasts?

Fasten the strap closed before washing. An open hook-and-loop strap collects lint and fibers in the wash, and that's what weakens its grip over time. Wash cool, on a gentle cycle if you can, and air dry.

Skip the dryer and the iron. Heat breaks down the elastic fibers that create the compression, which is what makes a sleeve stretch out early.

Will it get hot or itchy?

The knit is breathable, but any compression sleeve adds a layer, so it will feel warmer in hot weather and during exercise. Putting it on a clean, dry foot and washing it after each long day keeps sweat and odor from building up.

If you have sensitive skin and notice itching where the strap sits, wear a thin sock under the sleeve.

Why do people choose the Daily Pack?

Daily wear is the hardest thing on a compression sleeve. With two pairs, you can wash each pair after every wear and let it dry fully before the next one, which keeps odor down and helps the knit and strap hold their stretch longer.

It also means you always have a clean pair on laundry day. That's why people who wear them every day usually choose the Daily Pack.

Can I wear it overnight?

Yes. Wearing it overnight keeps the fascia gently supported, so your first steps in the morning hurt less.

How fast will I feel it?

Most people feel the support the moment it goes on. Wear it daily with the 30-day routine for lasting relief. If you don't love it within 60 days, we refund you in full.

How fast does it ship?

Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and usually arrive in 7–12 business days, with tracking. Shipping is free on orders over $79.
